• Personal Notes: Notes and annotations you create on documents for your personal study purposes.
• Favorites/Bookmarks: Your saved favorite documents and bookmarked content.
• Shared Links: When you share documents using our sharing feature, we generate short links and QR codes. Shared documents are accessible via these links.
• Payment Information: When you subscribe to our Pro plan or purchase Priority Processing, we collect payment information through our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
• Priority Processing Purchases: When you purchase Priority Processing boosts, we collect transaction information including purchase amount, boost type, and associated document IDs.
• Communication Data: Information you provide when contacting our support team or providing feedback.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, IP address, and other technical identifiers.

• Manage your account, subscription, and Priority Processing purchases
• Track and apply Priority Processing boosts to your documents

We take the security of your data seriously. Your documents and personal information are stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security measures. We use Supabase for secure data storage and authentication.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your uploaded documents are stored in private, user-specific folders and are only accessible to you. We do not share your documents with third parties except as necessary to provide our services (e.g., AI processing through OpenAI, OCR processing through Tesseract.js or OpenAI Vision API).

Document Sharing: When you choose to share a document using our sharing feature, the document becomes accessible to anyone with the shared link. You can revoke shared links at any time through your account settings. Shared documents are read-only and do not allow viewers to download or modify the original document.

Personal Notes and Favorites: Your personal notes and favorite document selections are stored securely and are only visible to you. These are not shared with other users or third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information:

• Supabase: For authentication, database storage, and file storage. Their privacy policy applies to data stored with them.
• Stripe: For payment processing. Payment information is handled by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy.
• OpenAI: For AI-powered document processing, including summarization, flashcard generation, concept extraction, citation generation, and OCR for scanned PDFs. Document content is sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to data processed by them.
• Tesseract.js: For OCR (Optical Character Recognition) processing of scanned PDFs. OCR processing may occur in your browser or on our servers. No data is sent to third-party OCR services when using Tesseract.js.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access: Request access to your personal information
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
